The following tuition rates have been set for the 2018-19 school year at Prairie School of DuPage.

Tuition Discounts

  • 5% sibling discount will apply to the first elementary sibling of an enrolled elementary student.
  • 50% all elementary siblings thereafter.
  • Tuition payments will be prorated for students entering Prairie School after the start of the academic year.

re-Enrollment Deposit

A non-refundable deposit 10% of annual tuition per family is due by June 20th prior to the academic school year enrolling. This deposit will be applied against the annual tuition for the academic year.

Additional Fees

Middle and Upper Elementary string instrument rental is not covered by tuition. Families of Middle and Upper Elementary students need to make individual arrangements for obtaining a string instrument for Orchestra. If you have further questions, or if obtaining a string instrument for your student is a hardship for your family, please contact the School Director at 630-690-6000.

FACTS monthly installments: All families who do not pay in full by June 20 are required to pay in 10 monthly installments through an automatic withdrawal system (FACTS). Tuition payments begin August 20 and end on May 20. If you enroll after Sept. 1 your tuition will be amortized over the remaining months of the school year. A $43 administration fee will be applied to your account by FACTS, the third party financial institution that administers the automatic withdrawal system. Volunteerism and Charitable Giving

At Prairie School of DuPage we are committed to being mindful of our families’ time and money. There are no hidden costs, mandatory donations to an annual fund drive, or mandatory volunteerism – which are typical in many private schools. 

Most families volunteer an average of 20-40 hours per school year helping out with things like serving on committees, chaperoning, field trip and specialty class driving, helping in the school garden over the summer, helping with projects on the grounds, etc. However, we understand that volunteerism can be challenging for many families particularly if there are two working parents. Instead, consider making a charitable contribution to the school. A gift of $300 for the year goes a long way in a small school. Donations can be made online, or directly in the office.
